What Makes Me Tick

I eat peanut butter every day for breakfast. Sometimes with tea, sometimes with water, but always JIF, Extra Crunchy. I love pizza, almost anything (dark) chocolate, and I eat at least two atomic fireballs within each 24 hour period, give or take.

Riding my bike is my favorite thing to do, and riding it at the shore the best place to do it. There’s nothing like a cool breeze blowing in my face and the hot sun shining on my back.  The shore is also my favorite place in the world, less my home when it’s filled with my little family.

My children are the most important people in my life. I would go to the end of the Earth and back for them, and I can only pray they know it. They have always been my source of inspiration, the reason I strive to be a better person, and my greatest source of love.

I don’t like liars, cheaters, or gossips, so if you’re any one of these, try to change. Not for me. Solely for your own purposes.

I drink Coors Light from a bottle, with lime, mostly because I’m a lightweight and it’s like drinking water with lemon. Whenever I say that to the bartender he chuckles, but he’s probably thinking I’m some kind of idiot. Autumn is the best season for me, then spring; anything to wear just a sweatshirt and jeans floats my boat.

I’ve been writing as long as I can remember, but it took fifty years to get up the nerve to let anyone see it, so I hope you won’t tear me apart on Social Media. But if you do you’ll be up there with the gossips, so, well, you already know how I feel about that. I try to be kind to anyone who crosses my path, but those who have “crossed” me have been known to end up on a chopping block in one of my stories.  HA!  I’ll share pretty much anything with anybody. I’m an ‘open book’, pun intended. So if you’ve got a question, feel free to go up and click the contact button and ask away.

Other than these little tidbits, not sure what else you’d want to know, so I’ll end this with my favorite quote, the story of my life.

“I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they’re right, you believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.” — Marilyn Monroe
